FERC-516 (OMB Control No. 1902-0096; ICR 201010-1902-001), Final Rule in Docket No. RM10-22-000

Update as of 11/24/2010

Supplementary Information (responding to OMB’s question on the change in the number of respondents, etc.)

There are two activities that gave a net increase in ROCIS of 126 (rather than 132) responses. The 126 figure is the net change, due to an inadvertent deletion of an IC. A description of each of the separate actions and our planned correction follow.

  • Docket RM10-22-000. The ICR relates to the Final Rule in Docket No. RM10-22-000 which proposes program changes to the existing burden by adding 132 responses and the corresponding 1,320 annual hours. [These changes are reflected in, and added to, the IC (Information Collection) titled “Electric Rates Schedules and Tariff Filings” proposing a total burden of 460,809 hours and a total number of responses of 4,462, if approved by OMB.] This activity related to the Final Rule and is the primary reason for this ICR.

  • Docket RM05-5-017. The separate IC titled “FERC-516, Final Rule in RM05-5-017 (one-time filing)” 1 was inadvertently deleted as part of the data entry to ROCIS for ICR 201010-1902-001. It will be added back to ROCIS.

The ICError: Reference source not found inadvertently deleted will be added back to ROCIS. After the correction is made, ICR 201010-1902-001 will reflect the proposed annual program increase of 132 responses (rather than 126 responses) and 1,320 hours (rather than 1,284 hours) that correspond to the burden resulting from the Final Rule in Docket No. RM10-22-000 (as described in the first bullet above).

1 Please note that the IC relates to a one-time filing required by Order No. 676-F in Docket RM05-5-017 (“Standards for Business Practices and Communication Protocols for Public Utilities,” issued 4/15/2010 and available at http://elibrary.ferc.gov/idmws/common/opennat.asp?fileID=12321975). That one-time filing will be completed by 12/31/2010; we expect to submit it to OMB as a program decrease in 2011.
